Amsterdam is one of the most expensive cities but totally worth a visit.
That’s why we share the prices per 2 nights.
For cheaper bookings, we advise you to visit Amsterdam during off season, that’s fall – oktober/november.
The prices that we mentioned in our article are based on these months. The difference between a weekend Amsterdam, in high and low season, can go up to 100 to 150 euros a weekend.
Amsterdam and its square meters
Before we did all the research for you we looked at different aspects: how far from center, neighbourhood, baby bed available, free cancellation etc.
But even if everything was perfect according to the guests, there were always some people who where not happy about the size of the room.
Be aware that m2 are very expensive and the dutchies try to use every centimeter as efficiently as possible. I think is fair to let you know what to expect so you won’t be disappointed.
That’s why with every accommodation we put the m2 there so you can know if it’s spacious enough for your family.

This cozy and homey bed and breakfast is located in the eastern part of the city. This busy neighborhood is well known for their amazingly beautiful sculptures and buildings.
This B&B has very high ratings because of its amazing breakfast and friendly staff.
If you walk out of the street you have a very beautiful park called Frankendael and the closest playground is just 500 meters away.
Be aware that the rooms are located on the first floor and you can only take the stairs.
Fun things to do in the neighborhood: Go to one of the most beautiful zoo’s of Europe called Artis. This year Artis exists 185 years.

This accommodation is perfect when you come by car to Amsterdam because it offers you free parking – what’s very rare in this city. Amsterdam Noord is a very family-friendly neighborhood.
The hotel is located on the border of Het Vliegenbos to have a nice walk or a picnic if you want to have a little piece of mind out of the busy city. It’s a 15-minute walk to metro station Amsterdam Noord.

Only within 2 minutes you can find the tram station which can bring you within half an hour to the Rijksmuseum.
It’s a very simple but nice hotel where the staff is very friendly and the rooms are super clean. If you don’t mind traveling a bit to the center of Amsterdam this is the perfect stay for you. They even have a kids corner!
They provide you a shuttle bus to Schiphol airport. Around the corner of the hotel you can find square 40-45 they have a shopping center and a typical dutch market every Tuesday and Saturday.
